Learn How to Cook

Learning how to cook and mix things up in the kitchen has truly served as a survival and needed skill in today's frugal and budget tight homes. Cooking takes time to shop for the right food, plan your meals and of course cook, but the rewards are knowing that you created a dish from scratch. This way you can fully control what enters your body.
Earlier this week I spoke about the subject of eating healthy and what it constitutes of. There are so many fruits, vegetables, healthy carbs, yogurts, nuts, dried fruits as well as sources of protein such as chicken and lean beef to choose from. It is a fact that what you put into your body will reflect in your outer performance and mental activity. So, we buy brain food and food that young people need who burn a lot of calories per day.
Eating healthy and organic is not cheap and must be planned well in advance before you go shopping. You can create a list of meals you would like to make for breakfast, lunch and dinner and buy specific ingredients that are needed. Also, when you go shopping, stick to the list. This is probably that hardest task.
Cooking opens your creative side of the mind and allows you to experiment combination of food into what you like.
When you go shopping look for items that can last long and can add to your emergency food storage. Storage should contain beans, rice, peanut butter, wheat, honey, dried milk, ect...
