Cool
I went downtown on Market street to return one of the True Religion jeans that I bought on Friday. I got four but one of them were to small and had a cut in them so I had to return them back. I paid 140 for all for and sold 3 for 150. I also got back my refund from the owner who said, "well if we aint got your size we gotta refund you." I said I paid 35 for them and he gave me three tens and a five. I'm glad that some people are 'trustworthy,' especially in the streets of Newark. From there I went to the Wachovia bank on Broad street right next to the New Jersey Performing Arts center to cash my refund check from the school. It so happened that one of the guys who lifts at the gym recognized that I was a student at NJIT and told the lady that not to give me a hard time and cash the check. It was ba-da-bing, quick! I got out and went back to change and work out at the gym, now I have a human resource management class and I'm 2 minutes late. Check u later!

NYC Lounge
TAJ lounge is located on 21st between 5th and 6th avenue.
This is the hot spot for clubbing, especially since it's Chelsea.
I went in with my room mate Mark Solonkovich to wish his friend
happy birthday. We drank at a local bar before going to the lounge,
we both got a Long Island ice tea, I also got an oyster. We got a
white wrist band indicating that we were VIP in the club and had access
to all the drinks. We got drunk. We were so hungry when we left that
we each bought a lamb gyro at a truck.
Great weekend!

Mos Def & Lupe Fiasco VIP concert
The two past Saturdays I went to see some concerts on Governors Island with my man B-Sweede and got to see Mos and Lupe perform live. It was really sweet, especially with the Brooklyn Bridge and Lower Manhattan in the background. Overall I liked Mos Def because he put a lot of soul and love into his show by using drums that he played and free styled to and also danced a lot. He also sang a song in Spanish, which was nice. Next concert is 50 Cent on October 10th, we'll see about that one.

Black Man Poem
I remember my Aunty Syd showing me this poem as we were leaving Mokuleia to go into
Honolulu so I could practice volleyball.
Black Man Poem
When I born, I black,
When I grow up, I black,
When I go in sun, I black,
When I cold, I black,
When I scared, I black,
When I sick, I black,
And when I die, I still black.
You white folks....
When you born, you pink,
When you grow up, you white,
When you go in sun, you red,
When you cold, you blue,
When you scared, you yellow,
When you sick, you green,
When you bruised, you purple,
And when you die, you gray.
So who you calling colored folks???
Honolulu so I could practice volleyball.

a smile and a handshake
a smile and a handshake
is all you need
to make another persons day
great
just mix a little sincerity
and a little firmness and
it's all complete
a smile and a handshake
goes a long way
how do you think
business men, lawyers, presidents
all greet each other
a smile and a handshake
needs to be taught
is all you need
to make another persons day

One down
I've just finished the whole Malcolm X book completely. The last time that I read the book was in December 26, 2006 or at least it was the last date written in the book. The book was very interesting! I got to see through reading how a man can completely change through his belief in himself and a higher power. The book was motivating especially because I am myself part Afro-American. The important note is that through our hearts we should only know one race and that is the human race.
Eyes
my eyes are touching feeling
soothing my minds pleasures
of you
i wont say it
i wont portray it
but you know i know we know both
it's mental innovation
my brain spinning in crazy rotations
aphrodite and cupid agree i true
even hitler would admit to doing it too
so i'll let my eyes touch and feel
you
because i'd rather do that
then be trapped by unmoral venomous you
soothing my minds pleasures
of you
i wont say it
i wont portray it
but you know i know we know both

Fast
I have started my fast today at 6PM and will end tomorrow at 6PM.
With sunset down I will pray.
When it will rise I will pray again.
It is for the hunger in the world,
the poverty,
the homeless,
the needy,
whether it be spiritual, mental or physical.
My prayers are with you.
I fast for you.
With sunset down I will pray.
When it will rise I will pray again.
It is for the hunger in the world,
the poverty,
the homeless,
the needy,
whether it be spiritual, mental or physical.
My prayers are with you.
I fast for you.
Law School Poem
Law school. No Life.
Study hard. Make money hard.
Big case. Big bucks.
Win win win win.
It's a fun thing.
Be the law. You are the law.
Change of mind. Change of time.
I sue you, sue me, sue them!
Three years of what, who, knew
that was back then.
Law firm. Their firm. I'm firm too.
Plead the 5th to make big buck loot.
Try this, that, there, then, now.
Look back at past cases thinking...
How How How???
Then you make your mind on what to say,
but it don't matter cuz you'll get paid anyway!
Study hard. Make money hard.
Big case. Big bucks.
Win win win win.
It's a fun thing.
Be the law. You are the law.
Change of mind. Change of time.
I sue you, sue me, sue them!

regular
Although I've only been here for a week everything seems to be going at its normal pace, school is fast and the weekend is dead. No one likes to stay around and just chill, they'd rather be home making their parents wash clothes for them. I wont name no one, but there are a lot! I worked the 10-6PM front desk. No worries, just some funny people asking funny questions. I can't wait to see my brother though.

City LYFE
The city is cool, eight million people stuck into a little place and they are all getting along! How amazing. You've got your little Brazil, China town, Asia and everyone else. Went to go see downtown on the path train with the Swedish B and Hanna who go to our school as exchange students. we go to see Macy's, apple where B got his Mac Pro and also many other stores. It was nice to see it again. Caught a yellow back to the path because I had work at 4 but made it back at 5. Shannon was cool because he thought I was doing some homework, which means I need to DO SOME HOMEWORK or at least read. Working the front desk at the gym is the same old thing. People who can't even say please are the worst! I worked the 5-11 and got to see the womens soccer team beat Drexel 2-1, great ending!! It was a one on one with our player in the lead hitting the bottom left corner of the goal..too nice.

inNewark
Continental Airlines did a good job with the meals on a ten hour flight. I got into Newark at 11:30AM and from there took a cab to school. Class started at 1:00OM but I wanted to work out before that. Once I did my first two classes of the day, I realized that I had no place to stay. Priority for dorms are given to freshman so that meant I didn't have a room for two days! I was pretty much homeless if you want to say that. I stayed in two different dorms, got offered to sleep on a couch at the U.C. and even contemplated on camping out in the gym. I've worked out everyday since I've been here and it feels to get back into some sort of rhythm. As you can tell by my schedule, on Wednesdays I have no classes. I'm working for Shannon Abraham, he'll be my boss this year. I'm thankful to be back.
